Default 5.3l miss and oil consumption problems

hey guys. my buddy has a 02' silverado with a 5.3l with about 64,000 miles on it. the other day his check engine light came on and you could feel it missing pretty good, so i took it to work and plugged a tech2 into it and found misfires on 1 and 3 consistantly, and sparaticaly on every clyinder. so when we got in it to go back home, his check engine oil level light came on, and the stick was dry when i pulled it. he said when he checked it 2 days earlier it was full, but this was also about the time the check engine light came on. it took 2 quarts of oil to fill it up. i know the valve seals are a problem on these motors, but 2 quarts seems like alot of oil to be going past valve seals. i'm sure the misfire is due to fouled plugs, but how did that much oil get in there to foul them? any help will be appreciated.

Default

the miss can be either a bad coil or injectors...............as far as oil consumption.........there were bad pcv valves and valve cover concerns
