Default 255/261 .624/.624 115 lsa comp cam

Bought this cam for my 408 strokes, anyone else running it or have any opinions? My GTO has full bolt ons, ported/ milled heads, Edelbrock Pro-flo ZR intake, 60 lb injectors and fully forged bottom end.

A guy in Milwaukee bought about the same size stick around 5yrs. ago for
an ETP headed 402 in a SIM 00' Camaro A4...9" w/3.89s and he later regretted going that large. I think he eventually switched to a thm400 trans
and went high tens NA and low 10's w/spray but he talked about rpm issues
where the duration wanted to take the engine higher than the lifters or valve
springs could handle. I don't know what rockerarms he was using but when
valvetrain items aren't ultralight and cam duration gets above mid-high 240s
its almost like you enter into solid roller size territory. I know valvesprings
and lobe technology are much improved nowdays but that is still a HUGE hyd.
roller and pay close attention to all the details involved w/ engineering an
effective valvtrain......GOOD LUCK

Thanks for the reply! I know its geared more for high rpms, I have the right lifters, adjustable rockers, double valve springs and 4,000 stall to take it.

I was running a 238/242 before in this motor and wanted to try a bigger cam for it... the old cam ran ok, just felt like I was leaving a lot on the table with the extra cubes sitting there.

This car is pretty much going to be a weekend and track toy when I'm finished so I don't mind it being a bit bitchy
