its actully not piston slap! its the wrath of god (aka ls1) not being to able contain its self at idle, this noise is the noise of the ls1 not being a wot where it loves to be
the only solution is to give it what it wants! wot and smashing on everything in its sights

LOL YEAH
In high school I had a buddy who had a piston slappin 440 Mopar in a Polaris that he dogged everyday for three years with no issue. That car would not die
