Default lq4 with ls2 timing set, in ls1 car

im not sure where to post this and i dont know without asking, search wasnt much help for this specific question.

i bought a lq4 block.

i bought a custom cam, it has some kind of thing on the back, like two half moons ? i assume this is the cam reluctor wheel for an ls1?

i have an ls2 timing set, but stock lq4 cover.

what cam sensor setup can i use? this will be going in a trans am. so whatever works with stock 99+ pcm would be fantastic.

do i need to buy a new ls2 cover / sensor or can i use an ls1 sensor in the lq4 block or do i need an lq4 specific sensor for the lq4 block that will work with the ls1 reluctor wheel?

my heads going to explode!

What year is the motor you are dealing with? If it is a gen 3 style iron block then you can run an LS1 style timing cover. If it is a gen 4 block then you will need the ls2 timing cover and the harness to extend the stock cam sensor harness to the front of the motor.
