Default Ls6 crate and magnum 6 speed

Ok a little background I work for American Powertrain and previously worked for Keisler.

I have gotten stumped on one today. Is the LS6 crank out further than any other crank on the LS motors? This gentleman has a GM LS magnum and the aluminum bell the pilot bearing is flush in the back of the crank and the input shaft splines are hitting the pilot bearing and not allowing the trans to bolt up. it is lacking 3\8 of an inch.

Thanks for any information.

No.

You're trying to bolt a trans assy meant for a small pilot that goes further into the crank together with an engine that has the large o.d. pilot that sits in the outer recess of the crank.

Change pilot bearings.

Thanks I dont recall doing a LS6 and the motor came with the Large pilot bearing. So I never ran into that before.
