Default Oil in header bolt holes

I unbolted my long tubes to make room for my clutch swap. As I was pulling the bolts out I noticed oil on the threads. Is this a serious problem or are they ok to run like they are?

I would think it just leaked from the valve covers. I dont see how else it would get there.

I installed both the headers and heads. I guess I should have specified I have aftermarket heads they are TSP 5.3 heads. The oil didn't leak from the valve covers. I looked in the holes with a flash light and it's defanitly coming from the header bolt holes.

it is probably anti-seize, it looks like that after a few heat cycles

Unless TSP puts it in the holes when they make the heads it's not anti-seize. I didn't put any on the bolts when I put the headers on.

On the passanger side head yes they all had some oil on them. The middel ones were the worst but the driver side head is fine.

If it's not anti-seize or a result of a valve cover leak, perhaps it's just left over oil from machining and/or tapping the bolt holes in the head.

In any event, I can't see any path for it to be from any internal source so I wouldn't worry too much.
