Default What pushrods with tr230 and comp cam 850-16 lifters?

running stock rocker arms and all just thought about replacing the stock lifters since they have some miles on them and was wondering if the 7.4 pushrods would still be good with this cam?

You have to measure.

The difference between your 3 options could be noisy or quiet. 7.350, 7.400, 7.450. Also the difference in having them be beaten to a bloody early death or lasting 40,000 miles. I would double check with a measurement as well. If you are replacing lifters then go ahead and have the heads CR milled or just a cleanup from removing them.

I will assume that you are asking if they are still going to be good because they are the stock ones that you had previously. So I will go ahead and tell you to get the hardened ones if you havent already.

I used 7.400 with that cam and milling heads .020 for a 61cc and it worked perfect..

im still undecided on replacing the lifters or not. i was definetely going to get some hardened pushrods, just didnt know if using different lifters would cause the need for different size pushrods other than the standard 7.400's.

Its pretty easy to measure and the tool is only $20. I would say its worth it to measure.

I replaced my lifters with LS7 lifters but my stock ones were high mileage. If yours have 148K on them like your sig says I would for sure replace them. I think I paid $115 shipped for mine from Gmpartsdirect
