Default thinner head gaskets?

Hi everyone i am about to install some 799 heads and an asa cam, but have been thinking about up using a thinner gasket to up the compression a little more. How thin could I go safely? Thanks for any and all advice.

cam specs

i just installed PRC heads with 62cc chambers and used a .040 head gasket, the cam i installed was an LSR cam speced to 227/235 .617/.621 113 LSA, you should be fine, but i would check just to be sure. check out my build thread, it might help you a bit.

I should be okay I think that would put me at a 10.7 or 10.8 which would be nice just dont want to have to fly cut or worry about ptv

TSP Stg 2 LS6/799s w/ 59cc chambers, .057 MLS gasket, and 237/235 is what I ran so I think you should be in the clear with 64cc and .040 gaskets. Had it dead on @ 11:1-11.1:1

if the heads are gonna be off, you might as well measure to be sure.
