Default Advice for LQ9 build?

OK, looking for some advice here. I was going to go with a turbo LQ9 in my TA but I really think I want to keep the car NA so it will be more streetable to take for drives with my family and all.

So here's what I have:
Stock LQ9 shortblock
LQ9 heads (double valve springs waiting, but heads are disassembled and waiting for decision on where to go with them)
PP Typhoon LS6 intake (might ditch it and go with a FAST intake setup)
Ported/polished LS1 TB
LS6 oil pump

I have no cam, no exhaust, nothing like that.

Hitting 500hp would be nice, but I'd be happy with 450hp. Think this is possible?

450hp to the crank or to the wheels?

I don't see it making it to the wheels unless you do work on the heads or get different ones and go with a good custom cam..

I plan on head work and a custom cam.

look at my thread in the dyno section. there is a graph of my lq9. the cam is spec'd for a single plane intake and it's still on stock injectors so ther is power left to be had. it still made 465/430 through a 6 speed with stock runners heads

If streetability is your primary factor, then keep the internal engine very simple, and use the turbo. you cant beat a turbo combo for power AND streetability.

I would go 402 with a FAST 90/92 intake, 243 or 799 heads and throw a Thunder racing RapTR cam in it. Get good power and still drivable. Probably close to if not over 500 to the wheels
