Default If 2 cams have the same specs can they still be different?

This might be a stupid question but I would like to know. Can they be diferent with lobe design or someting. I see some people claiming these bigger cams idling nice and such and I dont get it. I have a low 230 cam on a 112LSA and it idles "alright", you know there is a cam in there. Are people just raising there idle limit higher to get them to idle better or is there a difference in design even thiough they are the same spec?

Well, as far as driveability and sound, tuning has a lot to do with it.

As far as the original question, yes, you can have 2 cams with the same specs (Lift, duration, LSA) and be different.
This is due to the actual lobe design.

Usaully the LSA provides the biggest diffrence in idle. A 230/230 on a 114 will idle better than a 230/230 on a 112. Also steeper lobe ramps provide better vacum also helping the situation a little.
