I recently came into possession of a set of bare 243 heads. What I have gathered is that these came stock on ls2 and ls6 motors. What I would like to know is what other applications these are able to fit on and how much a set of these are worth. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

They have been mildly ported, but no, they will pretty much bolt to anything.

Oh man...those things will make anything you put them on puke like a sick dog!! You better get rid of them fast!! I happen to have the technology it takes to store them in such a fashion that they will never hurt anyone or anything again. Better send them to me asap before they bite you on the ***!!!

Any Gen III block. LS1,2,6 or LQ4/9. Anything 3.9**" bore or larger. Just nothing in the Gen IV Category. Or at least I wouldn't try. Gen IV Heads are a different animal. (Will outflow a 243 head even in stock form, IIRC.)

HUH? You know the 243/799 (same heads) come factory on 2007/8 and up gen 4 5.3L truck engines, right?

My bosses Avalanche 5.3L 2008 model has 799 heads on it from the factory.

^^^^ yep and an LS2 is Gen IV also... It's just most Gen IV's come with much better heads so why run 243's and go backwards...
