OK, so I'm putting an '01 Z06 cam into my '04 LM4 5.3. Can I use stock pushrods?

You could yes. might as well throw some hardened ones in there while you have it apart though.

But stock length is correct for use with the Z06 cam though?

With the 2001 LS6 cam the difference in the base circle between the stock 5.3L cam and the LS6 cam is .032" so 1/2 that amount is the difference in the preload . So You'll have .016" less preload which should work just fine . If You go to a 7.425" p-rod You would end up with roughly .009" more pre-load which also would work just fine . Good luck

Preload? Preload of what, I guess the lifter? Sorry, I'm new to this, in OHC world we get to just install the cams, line everything up, and bolt it all together.
