Default O-ring

What's up you guys I currently did a upgrade on my motor and found out I wan't getting an oil pressure. I pulled that the oil pump off and found out that I pinched my o-ring during the install. I also replaced the oil pressure sending unit. Anyhow I was wondering if you guys new of a post on here about proper o-ring install... I used the search and didn't find it.

Lube the O ring up good and slide it all the way down against the step...then very gently wiggle the tube up into place and bolt it in

Grease on the ring and a little on the pump, gently push the tube in the pump. do not force. I believe the grease is the key.

when you say slide it all the way down should it sit flush with the end of the tube? I kind of have a little lip just before it get completely to the bottom of the tube.

No You don't want it at the end of the tube , about 1/2" from the end of the tube is a part that is about 3/16" larger than tube that goes all the way around the tube . In the direction oil flows through the tube it is about 1/8" wide . That is where You push the o-ring to , not onto but up to . Good luck and Yes , oil or grease the o-ring first .

Thanks man I got it on today and oiled the o-ring placed it right above the lip just before the bottom. I'm pretty confident that its on properly. I also hooked up the oil pump.
