Default Warning about Lindy flycutters.....

This might have been addressed before but I was just fly cutting my pistons and noticed that the cut was deeper than what I set for. After trying to figure out what happened I figured it out. The Lindy cutter will rise up and down in the guide boss as you turn it by hand against the piston because of the carbide blades do not stay in full contact with the piston. In another words theres a low spot between the cutting blades and if you set your lock collar at this low spot to let say .60 thousands when you turn it by hand you will see it raise to about .90 to .100 thousands. Then when you proceed to cut it, more will be taken out than you set for. So make sure you set your lock collar with the cutter as high as it will rise in the guide boss. Other than that it makes a very nice cut.
