Default LQ4 (LS2) 4.125" stroke 427ci kits- Where from?

As title really, for my LQ4.

Obviously I cant bore too much, but .060 over is supposedly safe enough would be a bonus as that takes it to 427 with the 4.125" stroke.

Wont be spraying it, purely N/A and pump fuel, with torque being the main thing I want, but 500hp+ top end is a big bonus.

The question is, who sells a complete kit? Being in the UK means it would be a lot easier to get it all sent over in bulk rather than buy lots of seperate parts to make up my own kit.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, just realised, can a Mod move this to the Gen IV section?

Although technically a LQ4 is supposedly Gen3, its closest to a LS2 which is Gen4 so I guess this is the wrong place!

you might want to look into the reliabality of that because i think it might pull the pistons too far down with that crank or cause other issues which is why you dont see anyone doing it. Most people build a 402 or 408. Now an ls3 i know can be punched out to a 427.

Its certainly been done going by searches on here, but I sure as hell cant find out who does what.

But yea, you might have a point and ill stick to a 408 for ease of it all....

I've done it. Though with a 4.07" bore LQ9 and a Compstar 4.100" crank. Wiseco makes the best piston for a 4.1/4.125 stroke and 6.125" rod. My car barely burns 1/2 quart every 3,000-4,000 miles. It is my daily driver and has had zero issues for @8,000 miles. I did fill the block with Hard Blok up to the water pump ports since I went a bit reckless with the bore. It never gets hot and even has a hard time getting UP to temp sometimes.

As far as I know there is no complete kit for this set up. I had to piece mine together.

If your block is a Gen3 (cam sensor in block behind intake and knock sensors under the valley cover) the thread still belongs in here I'd stick with a shorter stroke on that block!
