Default lets talk budget iron block strokers...........................

I am kinda looking around at iron block strokers.

I wanna do a small cube one for n20. Thinking anywhere from 385-409 and I do not wanna use the stock crank unless you can convince me otherwise....

A friend of mine has a 385 with lunati crank rods and pistons and he is doing a blower/n20 setup and getting around 700rwhp and I wanna have the same sort of setup but just for n20.

let me know what you guys suggest....

SSilver,

We're also doing these at our new shop and I've done some before at SAM where I work in the morning. I'm even doing one right now. I think it's a good way to go on a budget and the blocks are stronger and don't leak either which is good.

I'll sell you my already machined and ready 6.0 iron block...bored .030 over, dipped and decked! Comes with an Ion Nitrided and Cryo'd Stock crank... This is a solid and clean set up that wont require mallory to balance...already set up for up to 2000 gram bob...simple grinding to correct bob weight will save you balancing $.
Take them both for $950, no cores. BTW this makes a 370 ci. at this current bore.

How can you want a stroker and have a stock crank as an option?

If you go with the stock bore then use an aluminum block and a callies crank. The block cost will be about the same as a 6L block and weigh less if you get a used one and get the stock mains with the block....you will not have to get the block align honed for the mains and it will only have to be honed for the rings. A new LS6 block without the mains is about 750-800

Offset stroker crank, using the stock piece. Not something you would use on a N2O motor though.

i'm not sure about this, but i thought texas speed had been running N2O on an offset stroker. i thought i read a while back that they were giving it a big shot, like 250 or so. anybody know for sure? just curious

I don't know if you guys saw it but I don't wanna use the stock crank. The way I see it is if I am in there I might as well go all out.

I am thinking maybe the lunati kit in an iron block or piece together like a callies crank, some forged rods and diamond pistons.......
