Default Increased valve diameter..

Just a quick question. Contemplating on some 243 heads. What kind of difference would there be with taking a stock casting and sending in for porting keeping the stock valves versus say PRC heads with a slightly larger valve diameter. I'm guessing the valve job is ported around the valve size but what kind of difference would it realistically make?

IMO a 2.02/1.57 combo isn't much over the stock 2.0/1.55 but keep in mind
that cnc bowl shapes made larger to flow more air also need to get around a
larger valve. To effectively do that requires reshaping the comb. chamber
wall next to the valve, reducing the compression to gain flow. Then milling
to gain it back. Vicious cycle hey ?????

The PRC LS6 heads are just that, a stock LS6 head that has been ported and larger valves installed (simplified description obviously). Let us know if we can help! We offer competitive pricing on our CNC porting services and can get you setup!
