Default cam and head swap on 5.3

i have a 2000 5.3 and have a set of 243s that is milled 0.30 .i want to run a ls6 cam but dont know if i can use the stock 5.3 valve train rockers ,pushrods etc...and what thickness and brand headgaskets do i need.. thanks

You will need ls6 valve springs to run the cam as stock valve springs are only good for .500 lift. everything else should be good. id replace the lifters and add some aftermarket pushrods. and since the 5.3 has a smaller bore then an ls1 make sure the valves don't hit the block.

my 243s have the yellow springs but no push rods or lifters.sooo i can re use my rockers,change lifters and new set of pushrods factory length ??also what size gaskets should i use??

Just use the GM MLS head gaskets. They will be fine and are fairly inexpensive. On the pushrod length, you need to measure to make sure you get the right length. It will change with the heads milled that far and depending on what lifters you decide to go with.
