RE: Got that missfire fixed with my cam.
I had a thread earlier about my horrible backfire, i thought it was the tune, people thought it was plugs, fuel, ect ect ect.
Turns out. if you put a coil pack harness on backwards...**** messes up haha. so after tearing the motor back apart to check the timing and seeing it was perfect (go me and my buddy!) he turned the coil pack harness around and it ran and SOUNDED amazing. So. after much deliberation..I bring you...my cam
Setup: TSP 233/239 112LSA
Pacesetter long tube headers
Tsp True Duals
Lid

The engine wire harness, as in the long wire with the 1 white clip and the 4 black clips, each black clip goes on a coil pack. this was upside down, the front one was on the back, so it was having the cylinders fire out of order.

ok...
heres a picture see this beautiful engine bay? see the white clip? imagine that the wires connect to that were goign to the wrong coil packs causing the car to say, detonate blah blah cylinder and it thinks its doign it but its out of whack, one side was completely goign against the other, once it was fixed it was fine.

It can't.
You're right, it doesn't, wire diagram shows them to be symmetrical.
Something must have changed, we're all dying to know, and now nobody will ever know.

This car is a 1998. No coil brackets Im sure what happened was the installer removed the wiring harness from each coil and when putting it back together he hooked it up wrong. As in wrong pig tail to coil causing the timing of the coils to way off..... Each coil bolts down to the valve cover and has to be removed so I can see this being the issue. Just for the record I have even seen switching the coil brackets from side to side cause misfire issues. Marking which side you pull them off of is a great way to not run into that issue also

I'm running into a similar problem... I was wondering what you meant by installed backwards? I have coil brackets, but never took the coils off the brackets. How to install backwards.. and how to remedy this?
