Default Cam install, 4L60E, no deceleration when let off gas pedal?

Went to pick up my car after shop did Cam, Springs, etc. install. Was told with cam I chose, the stock converter would work ok. When I pulled out, was going around 45mph, let off the gas, the car kept on going like i had held the gas pedal steady. Is this to be expected? Never drove a car with a cam upgrade before. with stock cam, when i let off gas pedal, would get engine decel, enging braking, and tranny would downshift as car slowed down. Any info. greatly appreciated.

No this isn't normal. Take it back to the shop immediately, sounds like something is wrong with the Throttle Cable

Comp 224R. Had to bring it back anyway, because 1/4 mile down the road after picking it up, tranny wouldn't shift from 2nd to 3rd. Tranny was working fine when I dropped it off.

Haven't you been shafted!
They have obviously fitted the cam but have done no tuning or resetting of your auto shift points or these issues would have shown up.
