No chip, buy a programmer if anything but since you have an M6 it wouldn't be worth the money for the performance you will gain from it unless you are doing bolt ons and a custom tune.

I still have people always immediately ask me if they kept the chip on it after I tell them my car was a police car. I think its crazy especially since chips have not been common since the 80's.

Without a doubt Cape Cod Kettle Chips are the best chips by far!!!!! Followed in a close 2nd by Cheddar Sun Chips.
Seriously though, what are your goals for this car? I wouldn't mess with the computer unless you do a full exhaust(headers, delete cats, etc). Even then the main point of a tune would just be to turn off the check engine light, and IMO for just a bolt on car a mail order tune is the way to go.

dont chip.. or programmer.. go with a tune.. i went the diablo route.. an it just caused code issues non stop.. went to topgear for custom tune.. flawless. and a happy car

My car had been in the garage for two years. I had trans issues and then the registration and smog was due so I kept putting off putting it back to stock and rebuilding because I have another car. Car should be running this week reinstalling the trans and stock exhaust today. Mine is the tan / brown color with no badges. Looks like a 6 unless I have my drag radials on the back. I mostly cruise in a red eclipse gsx.
