Default HELP! Head coolant passages blocked off

I'm assembling my ls6 motor and I got these stock 243 heads used off of corvette forum, I didnt notice it until now but it looks like the coolant passwges are blocked off? One is on the front of the passenger head and the other is on the rear of the ds head? Does anyone know if this is even possible on my coolant tubes and plugs the barb is hollow but these look to have a screw or something in them.

this one is just like it is on my ls1

Do you know how long they were? Also wondering if they were both on the rear or opposite ends. Glad to know i'm not the only one with heads like this.

Thanks

Ok cool, I tried to drill it out but I got scared just before 1/4" in and stopped. Just curious did you punch it out from the rear of the heads or did you punch it from the front and then shake it out of the coolant passages?

well I got it out and I didnt even need to take the head off I took a rag and plugged up all the coolant holes then i tapped it out with a punch and used a wet vac to suck the piece out of the coolant hole and it worked great.
