Exclamation Knock Sensor bad. Can I drive it?

I am looking at a 2001 fbody with a failed knock sensor #2. The car is a two hour drive from me. Would it be ok to drive the car back then replace the sensor? Or is it not worth risking?

if the KS throws a code the computer defaults to a conservative timing setting........no problems driving......you may lose power and gas mileage tho
