Default Water bubbling between head and intake?

A buddy of mine just picked up a repo ls1 camaro and got a key with the VATS chip to get it started.

Once running, the engine is getting hot and there is water coming from between the intake and heads. Anyone seen anything like this before?

Engine has over 160k IIRC.

Thanks man, sorry for the **** quality of the video, the bubbling sound you hear is the water in the radiator overflow boiling, engine was off after having recently run.

Could it just be the block is getting hot enough to boil water that is trapped in the knock sensor cavities under the intake?

A factory ls6 intake car shouldn't have coolant steam lines under the intake should it?

Does it s,ell like coolant or plain water? If its collant you got something leaking under threre probablty the head gasket. If its plain water it could just be rain water from the cowling that dripped onto the engine.

I don't have a suggestion, except that sounds like a nice bong hit.

have you done a leakdown or compression test to see if the headgasket is good? You could pull the plugs and that would give you an indication also if there is coolant entering the cylinder. How does the oil look?
