Default Look what came in the mail!! **UPDATED WITH PAINTED INTAKE!**

Whats up everyone. My parts came in the mail recently and I'd thought id share a few pics. Now before we get started, don't flame me for buying this intake! I've heard good and bad things about it, and anything has to be better than the shitty LS1 intake! I could not find an LS6 for the life of me,.....well, excuse me, I found plenty, but everytime I'd PM someone about it, I wouldnt get a response, and after about 5 tries or so I said *** it and bought the BBK SSI!

The intake looks bad *** btw! definitely has room for porting, and it's gonna look even better when i paint it today!

The cam is a Torquer V3 from TSP!

Agreed. Congrats OP! Always love some nice parts ****!!

Don't buy into the haters, that SSI is a nice piece. Are you going to port it? Gonna use your stock TB or go aftermarket?

It can accomodate any tb i assume, as long as its a 3 bolt. they sell a package where it come with BBK's 85mm. But as of right now im using my stock TB which has been P/P buy a sponsor on here. Check out my review of it here. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...y-sponsor.html

As far as porting it...Ill have it ported later on when i go with a set of heads. Ill probably buy a bigger throttle body also. Since im staying with basically a stock tb, porting the intake wouldnt help me much i wouldnt think. The tb is probably gonna b my bottle neck, along with my heads..

Enjoy!
Just make sure to put blue loctite on all the floor plate bolts and take your time installing the intake, it's extra weight makes the install a little more challenging.

I was originally going to get a dyno tune but i have a buddy here in town that tunes LSx based vehicles. He has a 10.8x ET camaro that he races, and he said that he can do all the tuning on the street for me. he has a wideband that he uses, so im going to let him tune it for $275. but whenever i get a chance to go to a dyno to get a pull ill post the numbers.

"it's extra weight makes the install a little more challenging"

All the more reason to port it out. Lose some of that weight.

I like the move to do something different. I was discussing with a buddy doing a pinstripe on his intake....
