need some serious help here on a cam
Hey guys, im really thinking about geting the T rex cam, slp longtubes, and ls1 edit. Now heres the kicker the stall. Ive been told anywhere from 3200 to 4000. What do yall think. Ill be driving to and back to college on the weekends which is 2 hours almost. Also, what else would go good with the cam, nitrous ect.
Thanks

What size gears are you running? I have a 3400 and I could totally have gone for a 4000 stall. The normal driving is hardly any different. Your gear size will be the deciding factor. As a general rule if you have steeper gears you want a lower STR.

If it were my car I would go with a 3800 - 4000 with a 2.0 STR to comliment the 3:73's. If you keep the 3:23's I would go with a 2.2 to 2.5 STR. Midwest makes good converters for cheap. I have a midwest 3400 2.5 STR with 3:23's and I have no traction at all. I should have gone with a slightly lower STR.
