What cam do most people match with ported ls1 heads. For example Patriot's stage 2 head with 2.02 intake and 1.57 exhaust valves?

I know there are a lot of other variable that come into play for a cam, but was wondering if there's anything in particular that works best with these heads.

Those heads do not flow much more at 0.600 lift than they do at 0.550 lift so there is no need to go with lifts above 0.600. Sub 0.600 lift cams will put less stress on the valvetrain. Texas Speed has number of cams with durations from 220 to 228 that would fit the bill.

You could also have PatrickG spec a cam for you.

The "what else" depends a lot on those variables you mentioned in your first post. Is this a daily driver or a track car? What are your goals for the car? Is this a manual or auto trans? Stall? Headers or no?

I have those heads on my car with Patriots 226/585 cam along with all the mods in my sig and my car still has great driveability . For a small cam it sounds really good and makes decent power .It all depends on your wants and needs .
