Default Need help on good cam and maybe heads

Anyway I got a guy that wants a set of heads/cam/intake manifold for his 2001 Camaro. Stock bottom end (For now) anyway like everyone he wants the most possible power. It is just a weekend toy and he likes choppy idles. I told him to go with a Fast Intake manifold and probably AFR heads, just no idea on a cam for it. Anyone have any suggestions? Also any recommendations on heads would be nice too. FOR supporting mods I was told the car had long tubes on it and a good exhaust but was pretty close to stock right now.

I am just the installer, I don't sell parts generally and I am more of a boost guy myself so a bit stumped with the N/A setups.

Thanks,
Kyle

a Fast intake and AFR heads will cost him a pretty penny. Something like a torquer V.3 would work well with that setup. Go for an MS4 if he wants even more power.

How is the P2V clearance with the MS4 and a set of AFR's? Trying to avoid fly cutting if possible

I would have PatrickG spec the cam to work with the head selection and compression ratio (head milling) decision.

what rear gear and transmission dose it have?need a stall converter if its a A4 .look at a TSP cam/head pkg.he has a ls6 intake ,good to 450 rwhp.don't install a race cam in a street car.consider a 228r cam with 112 lsa .

What kind of budget is he on and what is he wanting to do with the car? Does he have power goals? Give us some more details on the car and we can come up with something to meet just about anyone's goals. We have a wide range of heads available as well as several proven shelf cams and we can always do a custom grind for no additional charge.
