Port matching Intake to heads w/ pics
I know this isnt LS1 related but power is power. And there are a lot of good minds here so here it goes.
I took off my LT4 intake on my Impala SS last night. I found out that my 58mm TB isnt even port matched to my intake!
So I dropped it off to my porter this morning and he calls me and tells me that not only is the front not port matched but each of the intake ports are stock!
Heres a shot of my Stage 3 LT4 heads.
There is as much as a 1/4 inch of materal on each intake port to be removed.
So im getting my entire LT4 intake port matched to my TB and Heads and polishing the entire inside.
Any guesses on power to be gained? I mean the big TB into thoose small 52mm holes has to be causing some restriction. And the intake not matching the heads has to be creating some kind of power robbing air swirl...
Right?
