Default LS1 with LS6 valve springs

My LS1 is pushing over 100k and I'm getting valve float up top at low boost. Just curious to know if using LS6 valve springs will work? Also, spark and A/F is dead on. There's really no back pressure issue either. At 5600 RPM, the car suddenly looses power and torque, however it come backs around 5800...hmmm! Both the torque and power curve is beautfiul until that point.

There's no doubt the LS6 valve springs are stiffer and will control You're valve train better . If You do get LS6 springs , make sure You buy new 1's as they're only $60 a set . As far as the dead spot in the rpm range , it could be any 1 of a number of problems or a combination . I would say if it were valve float that from 5800rpm's up the power loss would continue and/or get worse . Does You're car have a tune ? and if so what is the rev limiter set to ? Very possibly a fuel issue . Too many possibilities to guess at . Good luck

Thanks for the response. I have new LS6 valve springs on the way. Also, the car was being dyno'd when we ran into the issue. The car has a stock cam, so the rev limiter is wasn't adjusted. Don't think the tuner needed to alter that. As far as fuel/pressure goes, it's good. I have the Racetronix 255 pump w/ hotwire kit and 60lb injectors. This was only around 7psi.

Someone in the dyno section had an rpm related issue recently when runnin
a new turbo combo. His stock coils had over 100,000 miles on them and he
borrowed a set of MSD's. Problem solved + 100 hp. Also spark plug heat range
and a tighter gap are important for boosted engines.

I gapped the plugs too .28...NGK TR6s. It doesn't seem to be an ignition issue. I will look into it though.

i really doubt if you get valve float that it will go away with more rpms, you might also have a trans or converter issue.
