Default '98 LS1 Formula drivetrain swap into '98 'Bird

Ok, body is rough on my newly acquired '98 Formy, and I came across an SOM, Cayenne Red, or Red/Orange (can't tell by pics) '98 hardtop v6 'Bird ($1600obo w/ blown head or intake gasket). Debating on swapping and paying insurance on a v6 VIN. I made sure to spot a '98 because I'm aware of the cluster differences and harness between 99+ and 98's. My questions are, will the interior harness be able to remain in the v6 car? I'm swapping motor/tranny, rear end, driveshaft and pcm/harness and trying to eliminate any snags that might come along. Any help will be apreciated. Thanks.

Its very very do able, and 10x easier since its a 98 as well. I think there are a few minor differences in the interior harness depending on TC/other options but nothing to huge. I'd say go for it
