Default z06 243's without yellow springs??

i bought a set of ls6 243's on here a little while back. i was told they have the hollow intake valves and the sodium exhaust valves. but the springs have no color to them neither blue nor yellow. so what im trying to figure out is what is the max lift on these springs? ive searched and found little but nothing that has been confirmed. just trying to figure this out. Thanks in advance!

Could be some comp beehive springs. Or something aftermarket...

Unless I knew the history of springs with certainty, I would use new ones anyway so I would know exactly what I had. I suppose a reasonable low-cost alternative might be to pull a few of the old springs and check the specs to determine their current condition. In either case, whether it has the sodium/hollow spring valves particuar to LS6 243s can presumably be determined by weight.

I agree, pull a couple of valves and weigh them. Go from there. I would refresh the springs anyhow, and if you have a cam the GM springs won't be enought anyhow.

x2 on weighin them especially if you have some old valves to weigh them against. also the intake valve (i think) should be slightly longer than a standard ls1 valve as well as lighter

Do they still paint a blue stripe down those? Remember they did back in the days.
