Angry Ok, run it or not

Purchased a new LS1 fbody pan about a year ago, with a new windage tray, tipstick tube, and new pickup tube. Purchased items from SDPC and basically stuff sat on the shelf in my garage in the boxes until I could get to the project. Well, there is surface rust all over the windage tray with just a hint on the pickup tube and oil pan baffle (apparently they don't treat these things with a corrosion resistant chemical). I thought about using Naval Jelly on stuff but wanted your opinions prior to doing. I doubt SDPC would do anything due to the amount of time it's been. Thanks

a little sanding and jb 80 should do until install.the internal oil should protect it.

I agree with Gary. If you have an air 90 with scotchbrite discs hit it with that real quick then hp blaster....when you goto install them just clean them off real good.

Once in the engine and coated with oil they should be good...just look inside the tubes to be sure they aren't fill of rust
