What would you do in this situation? I'm having trouble with oil consumption. I changed my oil right after i bought my 01 SLP Firehawk with Mobil 1 5w-30 and a Fram oil filter.. a little before 3K miles my low oil light came on. I checked my oil, and sure enough it was WAY low. I've been told when your low oil light comes on, its usually 2-3 quarts low. Anyways I've driven about 800-900 since i changed it again and its half way between full and add. So does this mean I have an issue? Its still under warrenty to i need to have them check it out.

Most LS1s consume oil. You NEED to check your oil between oil changes. I add about a quart every 1k, and I live with it. I guess it is up to you. The dealer will probably be hit or miss. They may tell you it is acceptable oil consumption...
