Springs for 228r that don't have to be checked every 10-20k
Is there any springs out there that I could run with a 228r that would last 40-60k and not have to be checked for 30-40k miles?

Well you might find that, but that does not mean they should go that long without being checked. Checking 4 springs is not what I consider "tearing into a motor". Honestly that's faster then changing a set of plugs (time wise to pull them).

I have this tiny magnet, and got tired of flying keepers, so i put it inside the jaws of some needle-nose pliers (small magnet, towards tip of the pliers). I set these over valve stem as i am depressing the spring. The pliers basically stabilize the magnet. It catches the keepers every time.
