No. Typically they're already ground with 4 degrees of advance.

I called texas speed and they told me the tsp233/239 has 0 degrees of advance ground in. So should I advance 2 degrees or 4 degrees?

Will sending it to someone with a cam doctor(think thats what its called) give you the amount of advance ground in? Might be worth looking into before you throw it in the car.

I agree. Without knowing for sure if any advance was ground in, that is the safest bet without spending any more $$$$$.
