Default Circle D 4C+3.73's+full weight= help?

Looking to add power.

I got 2 friends that are running 100&150shots and it's time to play catchup. My motor has 134k on it and has full boltons w/ a frost mail order tune.

Questions I want to ask.

- should I spray my motor to get the most gains now while my engine has some life in it?

- or should I put my money into the motor itself, and have the full time power and character of a cammed car?

- if I was to spray I'd run no less than a 100 shot.

- also what cam(s) would work well for me?

- I've also tried searches and really couldn't find the info I needed

- when I get the money I plan to have a cam and spray. Jw from experienced people what I should do first.

I have 129,000 on the clock and my concern for myne is what can I do to make optimal power without hurting the engine. I personally am not going to spray because it will probably spin a rod bearing or other damage will occur. But check into low 230 duration cams or a 228 230 and a 100 shot will be great as long as the nitrous is tuned for it there will be no problems. And for longevity get a tsp ls6 ported and shimmer oil pump !! Just my 2 cents

Well if it was to spin a rod bearing I'd buy a used shortblock for fairly cheap.

by the time you include the n20 system, the bottle heater, the purge, etc. you'll probably spend as much as a cam, springs, and pushrods.

After some thinking I think I've made my mind up.
- if I was to cam my car, and say I blew it up, theres that money gone..
- if I was to spray my car, then the money I spent would still be there, just pull the kit off the car and putting an iron 6.0 in it and upping the jets

1/8th is bout all we run.

100shot buddy- lol, just getting his kit working today so no times.

150shot buddy- has only been to the track on a 100shot and netted a high 7.4x low 7.5x. So figure 50 more HP in to get what it will run.

You could still use the valvetrain from the first combo into the new shortblock but reccomen going a big cam if you go 6.0 but save all the headache and get the n2o for sure and def 150 shot with a good tune for it. Or for the Hell of it 175 shot

I run a 4c 3800 stall, with a Torquer V2 and full bolt ons with 3.43's and car ran 12.62 at 108 tonight. I gained almost a full second with the cam and converter so I'd say cam that BI**

Thanks man! I've been reading on nitrous and tuning. Ppl suggest my friend to "dyno tune" his 75shot. Lol, with that being said. I might aswell go ahead with a cam.

- a torquer v2 was in my mind also.
