Lifter only swap..worth it?
I have the cash for some LS7 lifters right now, and have something to DD so I can do some work to the T/A..but my question is, would a lifter only swap even be worth my time? Should I just leave it alone and hit it all when I do a cam swap? ONly reason I'm considering it is I have a LOT of tick..

That now depends on you. imo most would leave it. How old's your oil, as engines tend to tap more with old oil.
Buying your cam & other related parts altogether may get you a better discount.

Oil is fresh..did go about 2k over last change due to financial woes ....maybe its just me..but the most knowledgeable car guy i know said that its one of the more obnoxious LS1's he has heard..and im only at 86K..I'm anticipating somewhere near 1200-1600 for a cam done right, plus tools i'll need

There is not all that much overlap between a cam change and a lifter change. Folks do cams/springs/pushrods all the time without pulling the heads. It would be advisable though to do the lifter change at the same time you make any changes to the heads such as milling and/or porting.
