Default BBK tb now misfire

just got a used 80mm BBK tb and bolted it up yesterday , car runs great wot but runs like dog **** from 1200 -2300 rpm, now its chucking up P0300 random misfire code , WHAT HAVE I DONE? I knew better then to get BBK junk but it was only 100$ , I checked the iat and the vac line and everything is hooked up right , could it just be from lack of a tune? car has long tubes and a cutout and just a handheld for a tune, anyone else have this happen after a BBK 80 install ?

BTW its a 99 z28 A4 with the cable driven setup, long block is an 02 with 241 heads, also woulda thought that putting a newer long block with diff heads and crap woulda needed a tune alone, didint the 99s have a diff cam then the 01-02 cars?

Swap the old TB back on, torque the bolts to 106 lb/in and see if the problem clears.
