oil around intake ports

Just pulled my intake down the while tearing the motor looking for a crazy tapping noise each one of the intake ports has a ring of oil around it, seems weird, anyone have an explanation?

use the search, lots of good info on this. but it sounds like you need a catch can.

Yup,,,its the ls1 blow-by blues,,very common
