Default Afr heads

I just bought a new set of AFR215cc Mongoose Heads. I heard that should you not reuse the head bolts. Also, I am buying the new head gaskets from Fel-Pro and wonder if I need anything else for switch. I am installing a FAST 102mm intake with the heads.

A good way to drain the water out of the block is to pull the water pump so you might want to have some water pump gaskets on hand. A head swap is also a good time to get new lifters and lifter trays if you have many miles on them.

the heads bolts aren't reuseable! they are (torque to yield/one time use) on time use bolts from the factory. if they have been changed for arp bolts those can be reused, not stock thou.

At 39k mies I think it is optional - 60k miles is the threshold I've heard most often. I would change them, but that is just me.

I would also consider a set of "correctly" installed Yella Terra rockers to reduce valve guide wear of the bronze guides.
