Considering a Lunati cam in LS6 (60516)
Trying to decide which cam to put in my stock LS6 crate motor. This will be going in a full weight 2000 Z28 that I use as a driver. I seldom see the drag strip, maybe once or twice a year. Not too worked up about ETs. Also need my A/C on during these triple digit summers. Looking for good torque in the midrange and something that won't fall on its face before 6,500 RPM. Car is a 6 speed with 4.10s.
Considering the Lunati 60516
Lunati 60516 LS1 High Lift Camshaft 270/274 Adv. Duration, .625/.625 Gross Lift, 112/108 LSA/ICL
Good idle excellent low to midrange torque and horsepower.
Adv. Duration:270/274
Duration @ 0.050" :219/223
Gross Lift:.625/.625
LSA/ICL:112/108
RPM Range:1800-6400
Opinions?

That is a decent all around street cam that would probably run well w/stock
compression but would like a small hike(10.5-10.7) and a fresh tune after.
Are you runnin' headers ??? Also I think Car Craft recently used that cam in a
dyno build...can't remember if 5.3 or 6.0 but I wanna say it picked up around
45 hp from midrange on

That cam would be fine but will flatline before 6k. By 6500 it will be on a significant decline I would say. I used to run my TR224 up to 6450 and while it didn't fall on its face, it was tapped out well before that.
