Im saving my pennies to get my 317 ported ,website says the 243 cnc program
can be used for 317 heads aswell. Haven't seen much on heads with matching
cam either.

Damien has a bunch of AI results in the dyno section...not sure if he uses
their cams (probably ground by comp)...I'm sure you can't go wrong since
the heads flow Soooo Well.

Damian uses cam motion cams. He told me comp's quality control has went out the window. If I ever do another N/A build it will be A.I.heads/cam motion cam.

As stated above Damian likes to use Cam Motion for some builds. I'm running one based off his suggestion and my car should be running some pretty impressive numbers for full weight cam only car....(think of not far off the top 20 fastest lists).

I can't vouch for their LS stuff but Advanced Inductions cam and heads package for the LT1 is awesome!! I have never seen one of their combos make less than stellar numbers!

If you put together a top-end piece meal then there are several variables you will have to be concerned with from p2v to pushrod length. It is a headache that we deal with daily when a guy has bought the current "cam of the month" and wants us to provide a head that will simply bolt on and not require reliefs. Of course we can always just lose out on a few hp gained via compression by retaining stock volume and valve location.

Insofar as cam selection itself goes, "matching" them to heads is an internet marketing idea more than a real life racing process in our experience. What are you going to "match" exactly? Certainly not "flow" since the flowbench is nothing like an engine. The head/manifold etc. is where the power potential lies, and the cam/valve train are where the reliability/longevity/etc. lie assuming the cam is even close to being 'in the ballpark.' We simply look to make the appropriate compromise between the critical factors for any given application.

The benefit of buying one of our cams is that you will receive an entire top-end that will simply bolt together with adequate p2v assuming it is properly assembled. You can make power with most any cam - any guy can go pick a relatively aggressive lobed cam, and a setup will make decent power for whatever it is. What we can offer is the same or better power with less aggressive lobes than are typically run to enhance RPM headroom (huge for stick cars), better component life, and the assurance that you don't run a mystery cam like most who have nothing but a claimed spec sheet.

If you care for the long version, there is more info here: http://www.advancedinduction.com/LSX...BilletCams.php
and here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/15159589-post27.html

Thanks for your interest!

well i always thought that if a head has a peak flow at certain lift, a camshaft would need to be designed in order to maximize such high flow point...
then my question would be what are the correct steps in choosing a proper set of heads and camshaft
since there is no necessity to match them up...
what consists in this case a strong set up???

Yeah prices vary depending on what exactly you want done to the heads when they are "ported". Usually between $500-1000.

The one good pass I made in my car before deploying was 11.79 with 2.01 60 ft at almost 125mph. Stock 10 bolt 3.42s.

I have since purchased a MWC 9 with 4.30s and all their suspension/chassis stuff and will be returning to the track when I get home and get it all in.

AI FTW, I am very happy with Phil and Ron and I will be a returning customer!!
