Default 98 camaro z28 trying to swap 99 ls1

hello i have a 1998 camaro z28 and i have a 99 camaro long block with no sensor, intake to oil pan....i know its a different computer on the 99's and up but can i just swap block and plug in the 98 sensors and it still run properly?

dont quote me its been a while but i think all you would need to do is use your old coolant temp sensor

the 98 had a different coolant sensor then the res, 99 and up had a dummy sensor, think that is it, the rest should be the same
