Default Stage 3 6.0L w/LSX intake, or stage 3 LS6's

If I were to do the 409 ironblock that I have been asking about...what would you guys do. Should I do a set of stage 3 6.0L heads with the LSX intake and throtle body....or stage 3 LS6's and do the intake later.

What is the going price for stage 3 6.0L heads and stage 3 LS6's out the door.......there are some shops that do not have these type of heads listed.

Thanks fellas!!!

Stage 3 6.0.L heads should achieve similar results as LS6 heads, but there is a significant price difference between the two. Used LS6 cores run between $900-$1100 per pair while 6.0L cores run $450-$500 per pair. To help you decide on which head is best for your application, set a target compression ratio and then sort out which piston and combustion chamber size you'll need. In general the chamber sizes for the 6.0L are 71cc and the LS6 chambers are 65cc.
Our Stage 3 heads run $2,250.00 per pair outright for 6.0l heads.

Hope this helps,

Richard

My 6.0L heads flowed 342cfm at .600" lift through a 220cc intake runner. My combustion chamber was milled down to 63cc. All the headwork was done by Race-Prep.
