Default T-Rex V.2

Has there been any more testing on this cam? I have been waiting for some results on the performance so I can make a decision on a cam. How about it Thunder Racing? I am trying to decide between this one, the GX5-3 and the 239/244 from Texas S & P.

I think a cam that makes 451/408 at the tires would have a little more talk going on.

Hmmmm

The first batch of these cams shipped out last week. It will just be a matter of time before people start installing them. I have an install at the end of this week (time permitting) of the TReX cam in SMOKIN01TA's car.

I got mine over a week ago but it isn't going in until May. I want to get a good base line first since I got my car finally tuned and see what it picks up...It should make some crazy power with the Absolute Speed LS6 heads and the addition of the Kook's headers. I can't wait for Jay to get some time to get my intake ported and the 80mm TB...

Well, we've talked about pretty much all there is to talk about .... and since the cams just shipped out and people are just starting to receive them, "user opinion" isn't a factor in the discussion yet. I say give it another week or two and you'll see much more about this cam.

I plan on getting mine at the end of march (if they don't come up with a better one by then ... )

Thunder's 237 cam made some nice power in a friend's car but it seems like alot of people are worried about going with something so aggresive. Give it time, once more and more people install them, get them tuned, drive around daily and have no complaints I am sure they will be almost as common as the 224 cams. It's not going to have within a few days.

Do you think the rev springs would really be a bad choice? I hate to invest in more springs if I don't have to.

bwahaha, the revs.

the revs wouldn't even hold my tr230 for 4k miles, i don't think i'd trust them with a cam this big. many people have had broken rev springs and they have proven themselves to be unreliable.

Bad choice. Spend the extra cash, springs are a pretty important investment.

The cranes are my personal favorites.

Jason ... when do you expect you will start offering a package for this cam? (cam, dual springs, seats/seals, etc)
.

hey man, they already do offer the package, just not sure if its up on the site yet. reason i know is that angie and i spent 30 min putting together the package i needed for mine and figuring out what is was going to cost. with the crane duals it is around 850-900 bucks i think, and close to 1000 with the comp duals. just call up their and talk to her if it isnt on the site yet. depending on how my testing goes they might add some .030 shims with the package also for increased seat pressure. you will love this cam, it sounds bad *** in person
