I had a couple questions I was hoping someone could help me with. I have a 1965 Olds 88 2dr hardtop that I was looking to swap a modern, more reliable, better HP engine into..I know someone willing to sell me a vortec 6.0 motor out of his wrecked 2002 GMC sierra 2500HD with 100,000k on it for $1000 thats complete from intake to oil pan, harness, alternator, ac comp, etc...

My questions are number one, is this a good deal?

number two, I'm pretty sure this is the LQ4 motor..since I'll probably be having this broken down and rebuilt, what are some good upgrades to get it around 400HP? cam? intake? new heads or stock heads?

any help would be appreciated

Good breathing, Good headers / exhaust & a decent tune will get you that easily.
