Default 2002 trans am idle hang 4.5k

I just put a set of lifters in a 2002 trans am that has patrior performace stage II heads comp cam 230/232 .591/594 lift 114 lsa custom tuning by futral motorsports and a ported throttle body.. the car ran fine other than the lifter tap when it came in but now every time you start the car it jumps to the rev limiter and hangs there i check for vacuum leaks none were found and everything is pluged back up the way it was.... throttle bracket is level with the top of the intake and cable is snapped in all the way the onlything different on the car is when i did the swap i put a perfeshinal products 85mm polished intake manifold on it for it but there are no leaks what so every some one told me it could be the tune because i pulled the negative cable but even without the car tuned it shouldn't idle near that really dont know where to look any ideas? thanks..

too many possibilities.

Try an idle relearn.

Try a TPS relearn

Try cleaning it IAT

have you drilled the throttle body?

Could also be tune related. Mail order tune, or dyno tune?

I could go on.......

did it start doing this completely randomly?

To do an idle relearn simply disconnect the battery for a few minutes.

Resetting the TPS:
Key off.
Unplug TPS.
Turn key on for 5 seconds.
Key off.
Plug in TPS.
Turn key on. Closed throttle should be 0%.

A good tuner will really never drill a throttle body, the hole could just be too big. In this case you will need a tune. Try the above first.

Look at your throttle cable make shure its not pullin open the butterfly if it is and I b willing to bet it is theres a place on the cable to release some slack

alright problem solved it was the bolts under the intake manifold for the knock sensor plate.... the heads of the bolts were to big and even though i thought it was not causing a vaccum leak it was... after the first start up had to fight to get the car to idle because of the lack of tune after getting it to idle it idled at about 950 for a while and but now it jumpped to 2k and hangs there when i let out of the clutch it comes down if its in gear but it pulls as if im giving it gas... and ideas?

I'm fairly new.. So excuse me for the obvious. Is this DBW or DBC? IF cable DOUBLE check what afastm6 is saying. make sure the throttle is not getting stuck open. Hopefully you've check this. But obvious stuff first.
