If you are having TEA assemble the heads you ought to consider having powdered metal valve guides installed if you are thinking about stock rockers. Also coordinate the cam selection with your decision regarding compression ratio so they can mill the heads accordingly.

What cam is he running? I am hoping to do 430+ with a flat tq curve. My car has never been a great peak number car. So I figure hope for small numbers and if I get bigger it's a plus.

Damn that's impressive.. Question, what size are the LS3 valves ground to on those heads, 2.02 or 2.04?

Right on.. I'm thinking about adding a set to my PRC 2.5 243's.. I have an early set that came with 2.04 intake valves vs the 2.02 they use now.. I wonder why they went to a 2.02 from a 2.04, possible shrouding issues on a 3.90 bore? Though that doesn't seem evident on your friend's 243's.

most run the 2.02 with the 243's because the chambers seem to like the 2.02 but tea gets the 2.04 to work

I was wondering the same thing , alot of people say that the 2.04 valve hurts the flow beside the clearance problem , let us hear from the experts .
