Help me figure out a motor build I want to finally put together something for my Hawk over winter, and have always wanted to put together a 402/408 for it. There are just so many options out there I don't honestly know where to look. Been searching around a little on here, but have not come across exactly what I was looking for.
I sold off all my heads and cam stuff I had for the LS1 in there, but my goals are a bit out of reach from that. I was looking at the LQ4/LQ9 blocks and moving from there. As far as goals go I would like to clip the 500 rwhp and as close to 500 rwtq as I can get, and nitrous and FI are not of any interest to me. I get lost mostly when it comes to the cylinder heads and a cam for a stroker.
Are my goals out of reach for what I am leaning towards? Would GM LS3 heads/intake be enough to get there? Or would I have to look into a sponsors heads? I appreciate any help.
